This means we can often skip the pre-drying step that\u2019s mandatory for materials like nylon or PET. For GPPS, we go straight from the bag to the hopper in most cases. HIPS may benefit from 1\u20132 hours at 70\u201380\u00b0C if the material has been stored in humid conditions, but it\u2019s rarely critical.<\/p>\n<h2>PS\u5c04\u51fa\u6210\u5f62\u30d7\u30ed\u30bb\u30b9\u306e\u4e3b\u306a\u30b9\u30c6\u30c3\u30d7\u306f\u4f55\u3067\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/h2>\n<p>PS\u6210\u5f62\u30d7\u30ed\u30bb\u30b9\u306f\u3001\u30dd\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30ec\u30f3\u306e\u4f4e\u7c98\u5ea6\u306b\u6700\u9069\u5316\u3055\u308c\u305f\u3001\u6eb6\u878d\u3001\u5c04\u51fa\u3001\u4fdd\u5727\u3001\u51b7\u5374\u3001\u53d6\u308a\u51fa\u3057\u306e\u6a19\u6e96\u30b5\u30a4\u30af\u30eb\u3067\u3059\u3002\u5178\u578b\u7684\u306a\u30b5\u30a4\u30af\u30eb\u6642\u9593\u306f15\uff5e30\u79d2\u3067\u3001\u3053\u308c\u306fABS\u3084PC\u306e\u540c\u7b49\u90e8\u54c1\u3088\u308a\u308220\uff5e40\uff05\u9ad8\u901f\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how we run PS in our factory:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Material Preparation.<\/strong> Load PS pellets into the hopper. For GPPS, no drying is usually required. For HIPS, dry at 70\u201380\u00b0C for 1\u20132 hours if needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2: Plastication.<\/strong> The screw rotates to melt PS at 180\u2013260\u00b0C. We use a general-purpose screw with a 2.0\u20132.5:1 compression ratio. PS melts easily and doesn\u2019t require high <a href=\"https:\/\/zetarmold.com\/ja\/injection-mold-complete-guide\/\">\u6eb6\u878d\u6e29\u5ea6<\/a><sup id=\"fnref1:3\"><a href=\"#fn:3\" class=\"footnote-ref\">3<\/a><\/sup> precision \u2014 a \u00b15\u00b0C variation is acceptable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3: Injection.<\/strong> The screw pushes forward at 30\u201380 mm\/s injection speed, filling the cavity at 40\u2013100 MPa pressure. PS flows readily, so we keep injection speed moderate to avoid jetting marks on the surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4: Packing and Holding.<\/strong> We apply holding pressure at 40\u201360% of injection pressure for 3\u20138 seconds to compensate for shrinkage. Since PS has low shrinkage (0.3\u20130.6%), packing time is relatively short.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5: Cooling.<\/strong> Parts cool in the mold at 20\u201350\u00b0C for 8\u201320 seconds. PS solidifies quickly as an amorphous material \u2014 no crystallization time needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6: Ejection.<\/strong> Mold opens and ejector pins push the part out. Getting these three right determines whether you produce crystal-clear GPPS parts or end up with haze, stress marks, and brittle failures.
